Plant of the month - 'Echinacea'
Echinacea is a deciduous clump-forming perennial. The long stalked daisies grow to between 50cm and 1m tall with orangey pompom cones, surrounded by pink florets up to 10cm across. They bloom between June and October and have dark green foliage. They like to be in deep, well-drained soil positioned in full sun or partial shade.
Cut back stems as the blooms fade to encourage further flowers to grow.
