Plant of the month - 'Ceanothus'
A garden favourite, ‘Ceanothus’ also known as ‘California lilac’, is a compact, bushy and versatile shrub, known for its impressive flowering display.
These deciduous or evergreen plants can be grown in a variety of locations and look particularly good against a sunny, sheltered wall. They can also be used as border plants, ground cover and informal hedges, but should be planted in the ground rather than a pot to allow plenty of space for it to grow to its full maturity.
Ceanothus flowers in late Spring to early summer and have either blue, pink or white flowers.
They grow to around 2-3 metres and should be pruned annually.
